COLEEN RAND (Choreographer) was a dancer/performer a 100 years ago. She
went into a performing arts program in fifth grade and caught the theater bug and
has never shaken it. Favorites shows/roles as featured dancer include Jesus Christ
Superstar, Rizzo in Grease, Ronette in Little Shop of Horrors, and Velma in West
Side Story. Coleen began choreographing at age 15; a production of "Cole" -- she
thinks there were over 50 numbers to stage. Seriously. Did she mention she was
15? Can you say "in over her head"? But she fell in love, realized she had an eye
for it and choreographed a bunch of shows in the early '90s including Little Shop of
Horrors with David Zimmerman as the Director -- resuming her choreography
career after her two hardest and best productions that she is most proud, her
beautiful daughters Emily and Sara, got to high school. Thanks to Facebook, Coleen
reconnected with David, started hanging around TTC, and had the opportunity to
assistant direct Glory Days and choreograph Grease in Concert and The Wild Party.
She is beyond thrilled to have been given this opportunity to work with the fiercely
talented cast and and the wonderful production team of TMKN -- most especially
with the incomparable Margaret Leone.
