This Season |
Join TTC for a spirited evening of ghosts and spooky mayhem this Halloween. Listen by candlelight to scary ghost stories with special care to include Sybil's Cave and some of the stories that surround that location. Sybil's Cave, which was reopened on October 22, 2008, was once a well-known tourist spot. In the mid-19th century, New Yorkers would come to Hoboken to drink water from the cave, which was believed to have therapeutic properties. The cave is said to be the inspiration for Edgar Allen Poe's "The Mystery of Marie Roget," based on the real unsolved murder of Mary Rogers. So, peer into the past as you look into the cave and let your imagination run wild with the stories that still haunt there! Leave the kids home for this event! |
